Watts to Amps Calculator – DC, AC Single Phase & Three Phase
Easily convert watts (W) to amps (A) for DC, AC single phase, and AC three phase circuits. Enter the power in watts, voltage, and (for AC) the power factor to get the current in amps instantly.
        Watts to Amps Formula

            - DC: I (A) = P (W) ÷ V (V)

            - AC Single Phase: I (A) = P (W) ÷ (PF × V (V))

            - AC Three Phase (Line-to-Line): I (A) = P (W) ÷ (√3 × PF × V (V))

        Example Calculations

            - DC: 1200W, 120V → 1200 ÷ 120 = 10A

            - AC 1-Phase: 920W, 230V, PF 0.8 → 920 ÷ (0.8 × 230) = 5A

            - AC 3-Phase: 12470W, 400V, PF 0.9 → 12470 ÷ (1.732 × 0.9 × 400) = 20A
